Fear of the White Powder

Over our lifetime we have come to fear the effects of some white powders.

Certain drugs are white powders and they destroy your life.

Certain explosives are white powders and they can destroy our buildings

Several years ago, there was anthrax in the form of a white powder.

To these things we are as naked and vulnerable as the model in the photograph, with only the thin veil of our own courage and our tenuous faith in the government to protect us.
